Danny DeVito will direct the biographical film Crazy Eddie, which is about Eddie Antar’s life, reports Variety.
Eddie Antar founded the electronics store chain Crazy Eddie in 1971. His business comprised of 43 stores and was listed on the stock market.
Antar fibbed on inventory and embezzled money, and then fled to Israel after the new owners discovered his shenanigans. He was extradited 3 years later and was sentenced to 6 years in prison with a fine of $150 million for fraud.
DeVito revealed that Antar and his associates collaborated on the film project.
