Daphne Guinness is auctioning off her clothes for charity.

The fashion designer will sell a range of ”exceptional designs” through auction house Christie’s on June 27 to raise money for the Isabella Blow Foundation, a new charity set up by the heiress to help support young art and fashion talent.

Isabella was an English magazine editor and the muse of hat designer Philip Treacy. She is credited with discovering models Stella Tennant and Sophie Dahl as well as fashion designer Alexander McQueen but committed suicide in 2007.

Christie’s fashion director Pat Frost said: ”We are delighted to be offering the fashion world this incredible one-off opportunity to buy some of the most iconic and cutting-edge haute couture of the early 21st Century, owned and worn by Daphne Guinness.

”Not only will the auction comprise exceptional designs by the likes of McQueen, Chanel, Balenciaga and others, but it will also aptly benefit and shape the designers of the future. Christie’s is very proud to be able to play a part in helping Daphne to achieve her forward-looking and charitable aim.”

The contents of the sale – comprising 100 pieces – will go on public display ahead of the auction from June 23.
