The unlikely collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica – the album Lulu – is getting its first music video, helmed by Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, reports HitFix.

Aronofsky will direct the new clip for the track Iced Honey, which is set to be filmed in the Bay area of San Francisco, and released later this month. Cameraman Matthew Libatique, a long-time collaborator of Aronofsky’s, will join the production as the director of photography.

"As if making a record with Lou Reed is not enough, now I get to make a video with Darren Aronofsky, who has been among my very favorite filmmakers since his first movie, ‘Pi,’" said Metallica’s drummer Lars Ulrich.

Released earlier this week, Lulu contains songs written by Reed for a musical – but now given the Metallica heavy metal treatment. The album – which Reed says is "the best music I have ever done" – was inspired by German playwright Frank Wedekind, the creative genius behind Spring Awakening.
