The 45 year-old star was participating in a spontaneous protest in Los Angeles to attempt to stop the construction of a warehouse on a 14 acre site. 350 people took part in the protest.
Several of the protesters, including Hannah, climbed into the trees and refused to come down when police arrived on the scene. 40 people were arrested. The Splash star said, “I’m very confident this is the morally right thing to do, to take a principled stand in solidarity with the farmers.”
Hannah was not the only celebrity at the protest, actor Danny Glover and country singer Willie Nelson were also in attendance.
