According to the website Femalefirst, Hannah would prefer to adopt a child from the United States, rather than adopt from a foreign country, which seems to be popular among celebrities.
The Splash star feels that there are too many American children without homes. The blonde actress explained, "There are more than half a million children called ‘hard to adopt kids’ because they’re not babies and come from troubled backgrounds, so I think that’s probably the way I’d go."
Hannah, 46, is also an active environmentalist, who loves to help others learn to be more "green".
