David Arquette has got engaged.
The 42-year-old actor proposed to girlfriend Christina McLarty as they enjoyed dinner at Mastro’s steakhouse in Malibu, California with their son Charlie, two months, and his 10-year-old daughter Coco – who he has with ex-wife Courteney Cox – yesterday (07.02.14).
According to E! News, the group arrived at the ocean-view restaurant shortly after 6pm and around 45 minutes later, David asked his family to follow him outside, where he got down on one knee and popped the question with a blue-stoned ring.
Christina was heard asking: ”Coco, did you know?”
The youngster replied ”maybe”, before bursting into giggles and shouting ”engaged!”.
The 33-year-old entertainment reporter was described as ”beaming from ear to ear” when they walked back into the restaurant.
The happy news comes just days after David’s ex-wife Courteney announced her own engagement, to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid and the former couple – who split in 2010 after almost 11 years of marriage – had reportedly had discussions about marriage to their new partners.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: ”David was just waiting for the right time. He and Courteney both talked about taking the next step in their relationships … They both want what’s best for each other.”
