David Beckham Becomes a Godfather

The soccer champion and the model have both agreed to be godparents to the baby of actress Davinia Taylor and sports agent Dave Gardner.

According to FemaleFirst, a source said, "Davinia and Dave knew as soon as Davinia was pregnant who they wanted for godparents. Davinia could hardly stop smiling when Dave and Kate agreed."

Beckham has been friends with Gardner since his days with Manchester United.

Taylor gave birth to the child on Tuesday in a London hospital.  Her friend Kate Moss visited the new baby on Wednesday afternoon.
