David Beckham’s sons to spend summer in LA

David and Victoria Beckham’s sons Romeo and Cruz will spend summer in Los Angeles because they miss their friends.

David and Victoria Beckham’s sons will spend summer in Los Angeles.

The couple returned to their native UK last year with children Brooklyn,14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, eight, and 20-month-old Harper but because the younger boys are missing their friends in the US – where they were based for five years – their parents have agreed they can spend their school holiday Stateside.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Romeo and Cruz are really homesick for LA because it’s where they spent so much time before David’s move.

"As a treat this summer, David has enrolled them in their old LA soccer teams, so they can play the sport with the American pals they’ve missed so much."

According to the insider, the boys’ old coaches will "love" having them back on their teams because they were such key players for their sides.

Soccer star David – who is now playing for Paris St. Germain – recently said he and his fashion designer wife try to let their kids lead a "normal" life and are happy to let them do the things they want to.

He said: "My eldest [Brooklyn] now is at the age where he wants to do things and he wants to go places and you have to hold him back, or we have to hold him back.

"You have to explain it to him that there are certain things that he can’t do. But to be honest, with our children, we let them do 99 per cent of the things they want to do because we want them to lead a normal life."
