Legendary rocker David Bowie released a statement on his website to refute claims he is working on Lady Gaga’s new album.
The statement reads: "When this tall story first surfaced a few days ago it was denied as a hoax in an update to the same article and we thought that would be the end of it."
The story refuses to go away. A source at Interscope Records in Santa Monica claimed that Bowie was working on a song for Gaga called Vinyl. The source also stated that Bowie was helping produce the album.
The statement on Bowie’s website went on to say: "However, in a nutshell, the suggestion that David Bowie is producing and participating in the production of Lady Gaga’s next album is untrue and a hoax."
Lady Gaga says her next album is finished but she is writing so much new material she may have to change that assessment. She plans to release the new album’s name at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
