David Bowie is not sitting back in his golden years

Fans can choose between a special and deluxe edition of a Bowie classic.

Rolling Stone magazine called Station to Station one of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003. That same year, Britain’s The Observer ranked it one of the top 100 greatest British albums.

Originally released in January, 1976, it was David Bowie’s 10th studio album and featured the mega-hit Golden Years.

David Bowie is reissuing Station to Station and decided to add something more for fans. A message was posted July 1 on Bowie’s website.

It announces: "…We are now able to exclusively announce the release of EMI’s 3-CD Special Edition and 5-CD, DVD and heavyweight vinyl Deluxe Edition of David Bowie’s massively influential 1976 album, Station To Station…along with the much bootlegged fan favourite: Live Nassau Coliseum ’76."

That March 1976 concert at Nassau Coliseum in New York State featured fan favourites like Suffragette City, Changes and Rebel Rebel.

Included in the reissue is a booklet with sleeve notes by Cameron Crowe, Rolling Stone journalist and editor-at-large. The deluxe edition will also feature a 1976 press kit and fan club folder.

The reissued special and deluxe editions of this classic Bowie album will be released on September 20.
