David Guetta dishes on new double album

Superstar DJ reveals details and squashes rumors about his newest project.

During a recent interview with Billboard magazine, French DJ David Guetta discussed his upcoming double album, Nothing But The Beat, hitting stores in late August.

Guetta revealed the ambitious project will feature music heavyweights Lil Wayne, Usher, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg and others, but dispelled rumors that Madonna, U2 or Britney Spears had contributed their talents.

"The challenge for me on this album was not to make another hit record. It was more the challenge of being creative and reinventing myself," Guetta said. "I have a responsibility also for my fans to surprise them and always come with a futuristic sound, and this was also why it was so important for me to make this electronic album at the same time. I really wanted to surprise people."

Nothing But The Beat will boast one disc of electronic compositions, while the other will highlight vocals. The first two singles, Where Them Girls At with Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida and Little Bad Girl with Taio Cruz and Ludacris have already been released to radio.

Guetta illustrated electronica’s mainstream appeal in 2010 when he took home two Grammys for his remixed recordings of Madonna’s Revolver and When Love Takes Over featuring Kelly Rowland.
