Yesterday afternoon (October 5), Letterman took a few minutes during his television show to ask his wife for an apology, following his recent declaration of having had sex with some of his employees.
"She has been horribly hurt by my behavior, and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it’s your responsibility, you try to fix it," said Letterman.
Last week, Letterman revealed that he was the victim of an attempted extortion plot. A man was asking for 2 million dollars in order to keep quiet about Letterman’s sexual relationships at the office.
The talk-show host also explained that his team is also struggling, saying, "I’m terribly sorry that I put the staff in that position."
