Deal Between U2 and LiveNation

The company LiveNation will promote U2’s concerts during the next 12 years.

The global concert-promoting company, LiveNation announced this morning (March 31) that they have a 12-year deal with the band U2, reports RollingStone.com.

Unlike their contract with Madonna, the company will only promote U2’s concerts, the sale of promotional merchandise, and the group’s website. The distribution and the publication of U2’s albums rests in the hands of Universal Music Group, at least for now.

The contract has not yet officially been signed, and the price of the deal has not been given.

When reflecting on the deal made with the company that he has collaborated with for a long time, Bono stated, “We’ve been dating for over twenty years now, it’s about time we tied the knot.”
