During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Wild Things star revealed that she never planned on having such a great romance with the ex-husband of her former friend, actress Heather Locklear.
The 35 year old star said that she was having her own divorce difficulties with ex Charlie Sheen when she began dating Sambora. Richards said, "This relationship was the last thing I was looking for. It’s true when they say things happen when you least expect it.”
Richards added that she was not the reason for the end of Sambora and Locklear’s union. She explained, "We didn’t meddle in marriages and anything like that."
"I’ve just got to the point where life is so short and I just want to be happy," concluded the actress.
