Hopper’s eldest daughter, Marin, born from his first marriage with actress Brooke Hayward, has been supporting her father during his struggle with cancer. However, according to recent news, Marin has allegedly played a huge role in convincing her dad to divorce his wife, Victoria.
The 73-year-old actor filed for divorce earlier this month, citing irreconcilable differences. They were married for 13 years and have a six-year-old daughter, Galen.
Hopper underwent another round of chemotherapy for prostate cancer. Yesterday, it was reported that he chose to live his final days surrounded by his four children and his close friends, in peace and tranquility.
His daughter Marin reportedly encouraged him to begin divorce proceedings. A source revealed, "It’s so horrible, Dennis is at home, Victoria and Galen are living there as well, and Marin is pulling her father out of his bed and driving him to the divorce lawyers."
Dennis Hopper’s prostate cancer has unfortunately spread to his bones, and there is little hope that he will beat the cancer.
