Dennis Quaid Settles Case

Dennis Quaid has reached a settlement on the medical error made with his twins in 2007.

Actor Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly, have come to a settlement with Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. They will receive $750,000.

Their babies, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, born from a surrogate mother, received an accidental overdose of anticoagulant medication two weeks after their birth. Subsequently, the newborns had to fight for their lives for several days.

The Los Angeles public health department fined the hospital, and the Quaid family also filed a lawsuit against the drug manufacturer, Baxter Healthcare. They accused the company of negligence in packaging different doses of their products.

A judge approved the agreement between the two parties.
