According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Denzel Washington in considering taking the role of agent Bradley Scofield in the screen adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s novel, The Materese Circle.
The story focuses on two secret agents, American Bradley Scofield and Russian Vasili Taleniekov, who must team up to combat a group of killers by the name of Materese.
The screenplay will be written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (3 :10 to Yuma et Wanted). The film will be produced by production veterans Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Stardust, Transformers) and Nick Wechsler (The Fountain).
Robert Ludlum was also the creator of the character Jason Bourne, interpreted on film by Matt Damon.
