The group Depeche Mode announced that they had to cancel their show in Athens, Greece, in addition to the one scheduled for tonight (May 14) in Istanbul.
Singer Dave Gahan was stricken with gastroenteritis and had to be hospitalised.
For the time being, the concert set for Bucharest on May 16 is still underway. However, it will all depend on how Gahan is feeling. The group’s main priority right now is to allow the singer to recuperate, and then they will be able to continue on their tour.
The band has been touring to promote their latest album, Sounds of the Universe, and will hit North America in July.
