Depp and Paradis sing Gainsbourg

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis sing on Serge Gainsbourg tribute album.

Star couple, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, are set to become a singing duo, reports Female First, as the American actor and his French wife, who is also an actress and singer, will appear on a tribute album to the great French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg.

The famous couple will cover the 1971 Gainsbourg song, Ballade de Melody Nelson. Paradis was a child star at 14 with her hit single Joe le taxi.

Depp may not have had the same musical career as the mother of his two children, but his entertainment background is originally based in music. He began playing guitar when he was 12, and arrived in Los Angeles with a band called The Kids in pursuit of a record deal, and the rest – as they say – is history.

The song will be part of a tribute album From Lulu to Gainsbourg, a compilation under the direction of Gainsbourg’s son Lucien, known as Lulu. Other artists contributing to the album include Rufus Wainwright, Iggy Pop, Marianne Faithful, and Scarlett Johansson.
