Designer water from France

Courrèges designs limited edition bottle for Evian.

French fashion house Courrèges has partnered with bottled water manufacturer Evian to create a limited edition designer bottle, combining the house’s signature flower emblem and Evian’s well-known glass bottle silhouette, reports Popsop.

Printed in organic ink on 100 percent recyclable packaging, the new limited edition is the first design to fuse such eco-friendly materials. The new design was unveiled during the Fashion’s Night Out event in New York City on September 8, and the bottles will become available to select restaurants and hotels beginning in November.

"Evian and Courrèges both share the idea that youth is a matter of attitude rather than age," explained marketing vice-president Jerome Goure. "The idea here was to bring Courrèges’ timeless taste for fresh concepts to conceive a water bottle design that radiates a joy and a freedom from convention."

Evian has been creating special limited edition bottles since the 1992 Olympic Winter Games. In 2008, the brand began partnering with esteemed designers and has since worked with Issey Miyake, Paul Smith, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix.

Founded by French fashion designer André Courrèges in 1961, the eponymous label has become associated with ultra-modern designs, and some even credit the fashion house with creating the world’s first mini-skirt.
