Despite the much-discussed absence of Timothée Chalamet, Denis Villeneuve and Tanya Lapointe were nothing short of beaming, clearly delighted to be back in the fold to present such a work to their peers.

It’s a source of great pride not only for the director, but also for his many fans, who have supported him since the beginnings of a career that has finally unfolded all the way to the top of Hollywood, where Denis Villeneuve is now in the conversation among the world’s top five directors.
