The rock group has revealed the titles of eleven songs that will be featured on their ninth studio album, Backspacer, set to be released on September 20.
The songs include Gonna See My Friend, Got Some, The Fixer, Johnny Guitar, Just Breathe, Amongst the Waves, Unthought Known, Supersonic, Speed of Sound, Force of Nature and The End.
The first single, The Fixer, which was heard during the All-Star Major League baseball game on July 14, will be released on the radio on Monday (July 20). The song can also be downloaded on the same date.
The new album was produced by Brendan O’Brien, who produced their 1998 album, Yield.
In the United States, Backspacer will be sold exclusively in Target stores and independent music stores. In addition, it is possible to pre-order the album in CD or vinyl format on Pearl Jam’s website.
