The comedy will be directed by John Whitesell (Big Momma’s House 2), and the screenplay was written by Don Rhymer.
DeVito and Broderick will play neighbours in a small New England town who clash when one decides to decorate his house so brightly for the holidays that it can be seen from space.
Michael Costigan will produce the movie, which begins filming in May. A holiday release is planned by 20th Century Fox.
