He made his mark on the 90s hip hop scene under the name Puff Daddy. Now Diddy is back with a new album dropping June 22.
The album, Last Train to Paris, is Diddy’s first album since 2006’s Press Play. It is being released on Diddy’s own music label, Bad Boy Records.
There are several collaborations. Diddy told MTV News, "On Last Train To Paris, Wayne is on the album, Drake is on the album, we’re trying to get Hov (Jay-Z) on the album, trying to get Janelle Monae on the album."
He added, "Everybody that’s on the album, it’s not done in a regular appearance way. It’s done in a unique way that’s authentic. It’s not about a single or album sales. It doesn’t have that behind it."
Besides some of the biggest names in hip hop today, Diddy is introducing a surprising piece, Angels. It is a song he did with Notorious B.I.G., the rapper who died in 1997 at age 24. He was a victim of the Gangsta Rap war at the time.
Diddy worked with Drake on this new album too. The Toronto rapper is a rising star in the hip hop world. He releases his first album, Thank Me Later, in May.
