Disney Buys Pixar

Walt Disney Co. has announced that they have purchased their long-time partner, Pixar Animation Studios Inc. for the price of $7.4 million.

The transaction brings Steve Jobs to the Disney family, as the most important share holder of the company.  Jobs, who is the president of Pixar, is also the founder of Apple computers, and the man behind the successful iPod.

Pixar Studios is one of the most well-known animated film makers in the world.  They created Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.
