On Easter Sunday, actor Mel Gibson celebrated at the Catholic church that he helped finance and build in 2005, however he was not accompanied by his wife.
According to People, following the celebration, he revealed to parishioners that the Mrs. had asked for a divorce last week.
Last Thursday (April 9), Robyn Gibson, who has been married to the actor for 28 years, reportedly signed divorce papers seeking joint custody of their 9-year-old son, Thomas, as well as alimony.
According to Mel Gibson’s attorney, the couple had been officially separated since August 26, 2006.
