Docs Give Rivers Cuomo the Green Light

Specialists have concluded that Rivers Cuomo is physically ready to return to the music scene after his accident.

In early December, the Weezer frontman was involved in a bus crash, and the perforation of one of his lungs forced the group to cancel their remaining show dates. However, yesterday Rivers Cuomo received good news from his doctors.

Cuomo was told that he could return to doing business as usual with Weezer, and that he has fully recovered from the incident.

On Twitter, the singer announced, "Doctor says my lung is all healed — cleared to fly to Florida for the show. Turns out I broke 5 ribs!!!"

The Weezer show set for January 20 in Florida is the only one happening between now and May 2. The concert will be held at the Florida State University in Tallahassee, after the students won a contest organised by T-Mobile.
