Dodge Scraps the Caliber SRT4

Dodge has announced the end of production for the most powerful Caliber model, the SRT4.

Dodge announced in a statement that the company is discontinuing the Caliber SRT4, the American brand’s most powerful small car.

Introduced in 2007, the car came packed with a 2.4-L DOHC 16-valve dual VVT four-cylinder intercooled turbocharged engine, delivering 285 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. However, this model didn’t manage to win the hearts of consumers.

With the disappearance of the Caliber, the SRT (Street and Racing Technology) division at Chrysler will also be tossing five other models; the Chrysler 300C SRT8, the Dodge Charger SRT8, Challenger SRT8 and Viper SRT10, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
