Does Radiohead have a future?

Frontman Thom Yorke seems to spend more and more time on side projects.

In light of the recent activities of frontman Thom Yorke, fans may be asking if Radiohead has a future.

Last month, the British alt rock group surprised everyone with a new album, The King of Limbs, barely 37 minutes long and launched without any fanfare, their first since 2007’s In Rainbows, as their leader, Thom Yorke has been busy with multiple collaborations after the launch of his solo album, The Eraser, in 2006.

A few days ago, two songs recorded in collaboration with musicians Four Tet and Burial appeared on the Web, and now Yorke is planning to work on an album with DOOM aka Madvillain aka Daniel Dumile, rapper and electronic hip hop artist – a style in keeping with Radiohead’s sound.

This new collaboration, combined with the short duration of the recent Radiohead album, leads fans of the Liverpool quintet a wondering if the band can have a future if its leader is busy elsewhere.
