Does your baby favour his left or right hand?

According to the website Baby Info, it’s fairly certain by the age of three whether your child is a lefty or a righty.

There are several simple tests you can do with your child – at an early age – to determine which he or she will favour.

Hold out a toy for them.  Which hand do they reach out? This could be your first clue.

Design a paper telescope and ask them to look inside. Which eye do they spontaneously use?

Ask them to listen to a ticking watch. Which ear do they put it up to … their right? Or their left?

Note that nothing is definite before the age of five or six months. At this age, the baby just wants to grab whatever is nearby – often using both outstretched hands!
