Rumours are circulating that Kylie Minogue approached Dolce & Gabbana to design her costumes for her upcoming Aphrodite-Les Foiles tour, reports Coco Perez.
The Australian pop star appeared in a Dolce & Gabbana dress for the tour’s teaser trailer, lending credence to the rumour which started on a Facebook fan page.
The singer’s official website promises that the Aphrodite-Les Foiles tour will be "grander than anything you’ve seen to date!" Over $25 million dollars is being spent on the production, including a $10 million custom-built stage with over a million moving parts for the European leg of the tour.
Among those carefully-constructed parts are some massive water features designed by the same team responsible for the famous fountain show at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The arena concert will even have a "splash zone" for fans.
In a quote on her website, Minogue enthuses: "My friends, Dolce & Gabbana have designed an amazing wardrobe for me. I’m overwhelmed with the love and talent that is going into this tour and I can’t wait for my fans to be part of it."
The North American leg of the tour, titled Aphrodite-Live 2011, kicks off in Montreal on April 28, before heading south to the U.S. and Mexico.
