Drake and Florence collaborate on new song

Canadian rapper working on a new song with English lead singer of Florence and the Machine.

This weekend, Canadian rapper Drake was in London, England, for a series of two concerts. British singer Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine was in the audience at the first concert, and she loved the show so much she decided to come back the next day.

However, this time, Drake had invited her be part of the performance to sing the duet Fireworks from Thank Me Later, his 2010 debut album.

Drake had originally recorded the song in the studio with Alicia Keys. As Keys is not on tour with Drake, Welch had a chance to accompany him during his second concert in London.

Florence Welch and Drake met last year during the evening’s MTV Music Awards and have kept in touch ever since. Following her surprise appearance at his concert, it was reported that they are collaborating on a new song.
