Rap star Drake took to his official blog yesterday (June 9) to offer a sneak peek at his next single, Marvin’s Room, and announce the release date of his upcoming album, Take Care, reports MTV.

"Single coming in July," the rapper wrote, as he posted up a link to Marvin’s Room. "’Take Care’ coming Oct. 24th."

Take Care
is the much-anticipated follow-up to Drake’s successful debut album, Thank Me Later, which came out almost a year ago on June 15, 2010. The freshman album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and sold 447,000 in the U.S. in its first week alone.

Despite the debut album’s success, Drake wanted to spend more time making his new CD.

"’Thank Me Later’ was a rushed album," the star told BBC 1 earlier this year. "That’s why my new album is called ‘Take Care’, because I get to take my time this go-round."

Marvin’s Room – which depicts a drunk-dial in mid-call – is the second single off Take Care. The debut single, Dreams Money Can Buy, was released only last month.
