Drake shows fans some love

The hip-hop prince will let fans download an R&B mixtape for free.

Canadian rap sensation Drake has already built up an impressive fan base. This was quite evident when he hosted the OVO Festival in Toronto last Sunday (August 1) and wrapped up his Away From Home tour.

Drizzy spoke to Mixtape Daily after the show and shared details about an upcoming project. He said: "Me and 40 working on it. I got you. I think I got a great body of work with that tape. I’m gonna do it like I do all my other tapes. Just make sure you’re on the Net that night downloading, and it’s yours."

Drake wants to give the new mixtape to fans for nothing. His debut album Thank Me Later went platinum and the new prince of hip-hop wants to show fans his appreciation. He shared: "I feel the people deserve it. It’s hard for me to put out free rap albums these days. So the best I can do is switch genres and put something out for free. It’ll be yours very soon."

A new song by Lil Wayne featuring Drake hit the airwaves yesterday (August 3). Right Above It is the first track off the incarcerated rapper’s new mini-album. I’m Not a Human Being will be released on Lil Wayne’s birthday, September 27.
