Drake’s new album delayed

Take Care now due out November 15.

After announcing plans to release his new album, Take Care, on his birthday on October 24, rap superstar Drake has been forced to push back the release date until November 15, due to delays in securing the rights for a few samples he used, reports Billboard.

"So I have completed 19 songs (17 on physical and 2 on bonus), and have run into a roadblock of clearing 3 samples in time to make the October 24th date," the rapper explained on his blog.

"My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paperwork right and give you the album the way I NEED you to hear it. The choice was clear as day for me. November 15th you will get ‘Take Care’ the exact way I created it with no trimmings."

Drake also announced that he will be pushing back his Club Paradise Tour dates in order to work around the school break. Originally, the six-stop tour was meant to kick off November 9 in Ohio and wrap up November 20 in North Carolina. The new dates will be "moved to when students are back from the Christmas/New Year break so that I can get to more schools."
