Drake’s new album leaked online
It seems to have become customary for a new album to appear on the Web a few days before its official release. This time, Canadian rapper Drake is the victim of bootleggers.
Over the weekend on a Toronto radio station, the singer-songwriter debuted his latest single Crew Love, from the upcoming album Take Care.
Unfortunately, the full content of Take Care, scheduled for release on November 15, has since then managed to make its way into the file-sharing sites.
The leak is even more concerning since there were legal reasons surrounding its delayed release. Some of the samples used on the album needed permission from the original artists, pushing the original planned release date back three weeks from October 24, the singer’s 25th birthday.
When news of the leak broke, Drake kept his cool. On Sunday, November 6, he posted his comments on Twitter.
“I am not sure if the album leaked. But if it did thank god it doesn’t happen a month early anymore.” He followed up with: “Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it…and take care until next time.”
