Hasselhoff and his ex-wife experienced a dramatic weekend after they were both involved in separate incidents that sent the actor to the hospital and his ex to jail, reports Ananova.com.
The former Baywatch star spent two days in the hospital over American Thanksgiving weekend after having a crisis in his California home.
The ambulance arrived at his house on Friday morning (November 27) and transported him to the emergency room at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre. However, rumours that he had to be placed under psychiatric care were denied.
Hasselhoff’s attorney, Mel Goldman, refused to reveal the nature of his hospitalisation, although he stated, "David is home now and he’s fine."
This isn’t the first time that the star, who has been trying to overcome his alcohol addiction, was hospitalised this year.
While he was admitted to the hospital, his ex-wife, Pamela Bach, was arrested for driving under the influence. She was stopped in Los Angeles on Saturday (November 28), and her blood alcohol level registered 0.14 and 0.13 on the breathalyser test, while the legal limit in California is 0.08. This driving offence has led to a scheduled court date on Christmas Eve.
Hasselhoff and Bach, who have two daughters together, were married for 16 years and filed for divorce in 2006.
