After 4 years of work, the first section of the 70 km Red Line of Dubaï Metro will be in service tomorrow (September 9).
The Red Line will link Rashidiya to Jebel Ali. Upon completion, the line will provide hundreds of trains that service 55 stations.
The Metro project was planned in two phases. In the second phase, a Green Line will link the free zone of the airport to Health Care City.
It is expected that 1.2 million people take the subway every day, thus unblocking the roads of the busy city.
