Duchess Catherine is feeling much better

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge says she is feeling much better following her recent bout of acute morning sickness although is taking her recovery slowly.

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge is feeling ”very well” despite her recent bout of acute morning sickness.

Duchess Catherine – who is expecting her first child with husband Prince William – was in hospital for three days with hyperemesis gravidarum but on Sunday (16.12.12) she made her first public appearance since being discharged.

The 30-year-old royal – who is also known as her maiden name of Kate Middleton – was at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year ceremony and when host Gary Lineker asked her how she was, she replied: ”Very well.”

However, she also told Paralympic athlete Martine Wright that being onstage was ”scary”, although she didn’t look nervous as she presented Olympic cycling champion Bradley Wiggins with the night’s biggest prize.

She also chatted with soccer star David Beckham, who is good friends with Prince William.

It was only decided at the last minute that Catherine – who looked gorgeous in a green Alexander McQueen gown – would attend the awards in London as everyone wanted to make sure she was up to it.

A source said: ”A decision wasn’t made until the very last minute due to Catherine’s health. She doesn’t feel well enough to carry out a lengthy engagement but was determined to pay tribute to [Team GB sportsmen and women].”
