Duchess Catherine reveals passion for photography

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge has confessed she loves photography, but isn’t very good at poetry or sewing.

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge has revealed she is passionate about photography.

The 31-year-old royal made the comment during a visit with her husband Prince William to crime prevention charity One Connect’s headquarters in London on Tuesday (11.19.13).

The couple met with several groups that work with the charity by helping rehabilitate ex-offenders with programs including drama, dance and film, and the new mother was very impressed with the artistic schemes on offer.

Karis Barnard, head of the Only Connect Central office, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ”The Duchess told me she’s not as good at poetry but her photography is her passion. If she’s going to do anything artistic, it’s that.”

Catherine is unlikely to be doing many arts and crafts with her four-month-old son Prince George since she also admitted sewing wasn’t her forte.

Claudia Calvert, the workroom manager for Handmade Alliance, said: ”She was saying she’s not very good at it because when she tries sewing the needle normally gets caught on the pin and breaks.”

Catherine and William were subsequently treated to a dance performance from the Dance United group and appeared to have thoroughly enjoyed the show.

The royals were also clearly impressed with the work of Switchback, which aims for rehabilitation through catering, since the duchess tucked two of their cakes, sampling both an iced ginger sponge and a chocolate confection.
