As popular as collaborations have become in the music industry over the past few years, it’s no surprise that Duffy has already been thinking of whom she’d like to work with. The singer has been on tour for most of 2008. On the road, she’s performed at many music festivals and has met several of today’s hottest musicians.
In an interview with Jill Gagnon of BE !nteractive, the sultry singer revealed her collaboration wish list. “At the moment, I’m falling in love, just musically… although he’s aesthetically pleasing, with John Mayer. Maybe I should keep that to myself, but I would absolutely love to work with him,” said Duffy.
She added that she’d also like to work with Ray LaMontagne, adding, “They’re both on my collaboration wish list.”
With the success that Duffy is having on both sides of the ocean, it seems that the soulful singer will get whatever she wants. The star’s first album, Rockferry, topped the charts in the United Kingdom, and debuted in the United States at #4 on the Billboard 200.
