Variety reports that Walt Disney Pictures is developing a film project based on the futuristic section of Disney’s theme parks, Tomorrowland.
Johnson, who has already starred in the Disney films, The Game Plan and Race to Witch Mountain, will be starring in the new film, which is set in space. Writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore have already started working on the project.
Disney says that the film will not be called Tomorrowland, but will simply be based on the futuristic ideas of the park.
The film Race to Witch Mountain opens in theatres on March 13, 2009.
