Eagles plan 40th anniversary tour

California rock band to celebrate 40th anniversary with retrospective in 2012.

California rockers, the Eagles, will hit the road again for four to five months in the second half of 2012 to celebrate their 40th anniversary as a band.

Eagles guitarist, Joe Walsh, confirmed the news in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“Everybody’s seen our show, so we have to put together something new. We’ve been archiving so much stuff from the band’s early days, concert footage and interviews and stuff. Those will be the visuals to go along with the songs. We’ll also revisit some old songs and some new stuff.”

While preparing for their 40th anniversary tour, the Hotel California hitmakers are currently on tour in the United States. This weekend they play the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and the tour ends December 13 in Portland Oregon.
