Burns joins a cast that already includes Katherine Heigl, James Marsden and Malin Akerman. The comedy, which will be directed by Anne Fletcher, will begin filming this summer.
Heigl will play a young woman who has been a bridesmaid 27 times. She is then asked to be in the wedding of her sister, who plans to marry the man that Heigl’s character is secretly in love with.
Burns has just finished filming One Missed Call, which is a remake of the Japanese film Chakushin Ari.
