According to American sources, Eddie Murphy left the Kodak Theatre as soon as the supporting actor was named, on Oscar night.
Arnold Robinson, rep for the star of the movie Dreamgirls, claimed that Murphy would have left even if he had won an Oscar.
The rep also explained, "Eddie had always planned on leaving after his category was announced to spend the rest of the evening with his family."
The actor caused a real fuss outside the Kodak Theatre.
Murphy, 45, was accompanied by Tracey Edmonds. The couple did not make a graceful exit.
