According to People, Bertinelli denied the rumours that Van Halen is in detox, but refused to give any information about his mysterious illness.
Bertinelli stated, "The reports about him being in rehab are wrong. Eddie is sober. He’s being proactive about his illness."
When Bertinelli was asked to explain the illness which has caused many Van Halen concerts to be postponed, she replied, "I don’t think it’s my place [to comment.]"
Last week the group Van Halen had written on their website, "According to Eddie Van Halen’s physician, he is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures."
