Wood will join John Hurt for the film Oxford Murders. Filming is set to begin on January 22, and will continue for nine weeks in London.
Elijah Wood will play a young man who is studying at Oxford. When he becomes intrigued by a murder that takes place where he lives, he is taken under the wing of a Sherlock Holmes-type mentor who uses logic and math symbols to stop a series of murders.
