Ellen DeGeneres to Be Mother Nature

TV talk show host and actress Ellen DeGeneres will be playing Mother Nature on the big screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ellen DeGeneres has signed a deal to play Mother  Nature in an upcoming untitled comedy.

In the film, written by Jenny Bicks, a writer for the series Sex and the City, Mother Nature will return to Earth for the first time since its creation.

Filming will begin this summer in Los Angeles, while DeGeneres takes her summer break from her daily talk show.

The last film starring DeGeneres was 1999’s The Love Letter. She also was the voice behind Dory in Finding Nemo in 2003, and was featured in a short film called My Short Film in 2005.
