Ellie Goulding joine iTunes festival

Ellie Goulding has been added to the line up of the free iTunes festival 2012, held at London’s Roundhouse venue.

Ellie Goulding has been added to the line up of the iTunes festival.

‘The Writer’ singer will perform on at London’s Roundhouse venue on September 26, where she is expected to debut new material from her second album, ‘Halcyon’.

Ellie recently announced the album, and said it deals with heartbreak – possibly inspired by her split from DJ boyfriend Greg James in January this year.

She said: "This album for me is a journey from dark into light, from confusion to understanding. I didn’t set out to write a break-up record but I think it became one.

"I’m so incredibly proud of this record, I really can’t wait for you all to hear it. Going to post a little teaser later this week I think."

Meanwhile OneRepublic have also been added to the month-long bill for the iTunes Festival, a free event, supporting Matchbox Twenty on September 19.

Other acts recently added include Elbow and Bat For Lashes, who will take to the stage on September 7, while Hot Chip will headline on September 29th.

Other stars already confirmed to perform include Pink, Jack White, One Direction and Lana Del Rey.
