Elon Musk once again finds himself at the center of controversy after posting a message on his X platform about Donald Trump’s apparent assassination attempt, which occurred while he was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida, last weekend.
Musk’s controversial post, now deleted, read, “No one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala”. This remark naturally provoked strong reactions on social networks.

Musk, who reportedly initially refused to retract, insisting that no one had tried to attack Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.
He eventually deleted the comment, after much criticism, but Musk tried to minimize the impact of his remarks by claiming it was just a joke.
He eventually acknowledged that publishing on X is different and may not be as funny as making a joke in person in front of people who laughed at it.
Well, one lesson I’ve learned is that just because I say something to a group and they laugh doesn’t mean it’s going to be all that hilarious as a post on 𝕏

Many people, including the White House spokesman, were quick to react, calling Musk’s post “irresponsible”.
President Biden reacted to the events in Palm Beach by expressing his gratitude that President Trump was safe. He also stressed that there is no place for political violence and promised to allocate more resources to the Secret Service.
Presidential candidate and Trump rival Kamala Harris also strongly condemned the events, expressing her deep disturbance at the assassination attempt on former President Trump and denouncing political violence.
Although the shocking post was removed, Musk continued with his usual posts, blaming Democrats and the media for Trump’s assassination attempt.
